SteveSynth This is some seriously good low-fi synthwave, Wrong Tape sounds like it should be the intro to a retro side-scroller. My impression is that Mr Hate takes a lot of care with establishing the atmosphere of the album, rather than over-doing it with too much noise like some other artists out there, the result of which is a solidly enjoyable album that contributes significantly to the genre. Favorite track: Wrong Tape.

FLESH MECHANIC Falling in love with an album is a process that often requires multiple listening cycles, but for this album, it took just one. While the first EP had a very experimental layer, this one is rooted more in the traditional retrowave territory, which makes it much easier to understand it immediately. If you want upbeat synthwave, darksynth, laid-back saxophones, Streets of Rage-style songs or calm ambient, you'll find it all here. Do not miss this album! Favorite track: Wrong Tape.
